Christy Zuehl

 

Cindy Edwards, President

Cindy Edwards began freelance instructional design work in 2003 after nearly 20 years in the corporate training and development arena. Recent design projects have focused on informal learning and knowledge management using social software, instructor-led continuing education courses, and stand-alone self-paced learning for delivery on the Web. She teaches online and face-to-face courses at Sacramento State's College of Continuing Education. Cindy holds a BA Degree in Organizational Communication from CSU Sacramento, and she earned her MSIDT as a member and co-captain of Cohort #6. She served two years as our VP of Chapter Development.

 

Cindy Edwards

Kristi Smemoe, Vice President of Chapter Development

Kristi Smemoe is currently a freelance instructional designer, doing work for Coastline Community College and Chevron Corporation.  She worked at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy offering instructional design and student support for their online, self-study and continuing education courses from 2003-2006.  Starting in 2006, she worked at the University of California, Irvine, in the Humanities Instructional Resource Center, offering technology support to all humanities and language instructors. Kristi holds a BS Degree in Geography from Brigham Young University, and she earned her MSIDT degree as a member of Cohort #7 in 2010. She served as the 2010-2011 VP of Programs.

Randall Fujimoto, Vice President of Programs

Randall is an instructional designer/educational game designer who specializes in creating game-based learning activities, project-based lesson plans, online course curriculum, and other various learning programs. He has his own educational consulting business, Shoyu Learning Solutions, which has provided educational consulting services since 2001. Prior to 2001, Randall worked in the videogame industry, where he led the development of various game titles for some well-known publishers.

Randall has a master's degree in instructional design and technology from California State University, Fullerton, an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California, and a B.S. in economics and engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Randall currently resides in Redondo Beach, CA.

Ann Adams

Tai James, Vice President of Finance

Tai has been employed by Coastline College since 1992. She currently works in the Distance Learning Department as a Multimedia Coordinator. She primarily assists faculty with instructional television courses and has assisted in training sessions of Coastline’s course management system and Summer Institute workshops. Tai holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Chico State and a Master of Science
Degree in Instructional Design & Technology from CSUF. Tai served as MSIDT Cohort #7 Co-Captain and is a graduate of Coastline’s 2010 Leadership Academy. This is her second year in this role.

 

Mark Worden

Mark Worden, VP of Relationships & Chapter Liaison

Mark has been employed at Coastline College for the past 5 years, working with faculty in developing their courses and training faculty and staff how to use the colleges learning management system, district portal, and related tools. Mark is a graduate of the Coastline College Leadership Academy and serves as the Chair of the Business Computing & CIS Departments. Mark holds a BS Degree in Information Technology and a Master of Science Degree in Instructional Design & Technology from CSUF. Mark served as a Cohort #6 Co-Captain and served in previous years on the General Education Committee at CSUF. Mark was the VP of Programs for the 2009-2010 MSIDTAA board. This is his second term as the VP of Relationships and Chapter Liaison.
